2 din car radio for android

The best 2 din car radio for Android will be revealed through our rating. The best 2 din android car radio will be automatically determined in comparison with analogues, the technical parameters of which will be described in detail.

A few important words about car radios with a standard size of 2 din

Many people don’t even know what the difference is between car radios 1 and . But the differences are significant and it would be wrong not to write about it.
Let's look at the differences and the advantages of 2 din car radios that arise on their own:

  • They fit perfectly into the standard seats of modern cars;
  • They significantly increase the comfort of the car, making it much more functional and convenient;
  • 2 din car radios are usually equipped with a GPS module and other additional interfaces;
  • Thanks to this type of device, it will be possible to connect third-party devices, such as a rear view camera or parking sensors;
  • Among car radios with a typical size of 2 din, there are often devices with a built-in monitor and TV tuner. You can sometimes use the Bluetooth function, it is possible to read various information, etc.

Car radio rating

Chinese models

Chinese car radio with navigator, which costs about 9 thousand rubles.

  • The monitor diagonal is 6.5 inches or 16 cm in our opinion. But the monitor itself is not equipped with a motor.
    The screen is a touch screen that reproduces high-definition HD format. It is equipped with a shutdown option. The resolution of 800x480 pixels makes it possible to watch movies and music films comfortably;
  • The car radio has a built-in GPS navigator (see);
  • It is equipped with a good radio receiver operating in the FM bands;
  • There is also a TV tuner;
  • The model is equipped with a combined drive that reads CD/MP4/DVD;
  • There are audio outputs, and there are two of them: front and rear;
  • There are also two RCA video outputs;
  • The car radio supports SD/MMC memory cards;
  • There is a built-in USB port and the ability to use Bluetooth;
  • It is possible to connect the device to the camera;
  • It is possible to simultaneously play music and operate the navigator;
  • Control of the car radio can be transferred to the steering wheel of the car.

The only advantage of this Chinese-made car radio is its low price. Otherwise, there is nothing new, the functions are ordinary, although bravo to the manufacturer for not skimping on such rich functionality on a low budget.

Review of 2 din car radio A&V AVH-P6800

Further proof that the price has nothing to do with the manufacturer. In this case, this model is Chinese, but it is quite expensive - about 55 thousand rubles.
Let's find out what this cost is:

  • The screen of the car radio, which would be easier to call a multimedia complex, is 7 inches or 17 cm. The screen is motorized and can rotate at an angle of 170 degrees. Its resolution is 480x272 pixels. Touch Screen Touch Screen;
  • There are built-in TV/FM tuners;
  • Drive combined CD/MP3/MP4;
  • In addition to the wiring, the device also comes with a USB adapter, a remote control, mounting clips and instructions;
  • High output power – 60Wx4;
  • Equalizer with Pop/Classic/Rock/Flat settings;
  • Built-in color TV tuner with support for frequency ranges and TV systems (color/sound);
  • Built-in digital FM tuner. Operates in AM/FM bands. Its memory is for 18 stations;
  • Bluetooth built-in. It can be easily and quickly synchronized to work with cell phones. The microphone is built into the front panel of the car radio;
  • The model has many ports and connectors, including RCA, USB, space for connecting a TV/FM antenna, camera, etc.

Huge functionality, but the price is too high. What is interesting about Chinese manufacturers is that they are trying to collect as many of the latest technological innovations as possible in one device.
Whether this is good or bad is difficult to say. At least, the models from the Chinese manufacturer cannot yet boast of reliability and long service life.

Car radios from famous brands

This includes well-known manufacturers of car audio devices. These are Alpine, JVC, Pioneer and others. There is no doubt about the quality of their products, although there are exceptions to the rules.

Alpine ICS-X8 review

A whole multimedia station. Costs about 45 thousand rubles.
Features the following features:

  • Nokia Car Mod and Mirror Link technology were used to create this device. This makes it possible to connect Nokia smartphones to the car radio using the rich set of applications of this phone.
    The musical accompaniment inside the car after installing this car radio model will rise to a whole new level. Today, the ICS-X8 is one of the most advanced devices designed for cars;
  • The sound quality is always at the highest level. Interestingly, the capabilities of the car radio can be updated with the release of the latest versions;
  • Thanks to compatibility with Nokia Drive, you can use free navigation with the latest maps and full control from the App Link station.

Note. It is worth noting that cards do not need to be opened via the Internet every time. They are saved in the device memory and you can save on data traffic consumption.

  • The additional functions of this car radio, relative to the navigator, also left a good impression. In particular, you can highlight online information about traffic jams, search for a destination in different modes, maps with 3D images and much more;
  • Music files are played by this car radio through the interesting Nokia Music application. You can search by artist, genre and album.
    The album cover image will appear on the display. The interface itself is specifically designed for ease of use and driving safety;
  • Convenient and intuitive touch controls. It makes it possible to control the radio with comfort, thanks to pressing, dragging, flipping, etc.;
  • The device display is 7 inches. It is high quality WVGA LED. Provides crystal clear images;
  • Bluetooth with new and improved features. There is a simple secure SSP registration feature that will allow you to register up to 5 phones.
    It is possible to synchronize the phone book, alphabetical and percentage search, and much more;
  • It is possible to customize the sound by adjusting the subwoofer level (see).

This car radio is a real contender for victory. Its cost is not that high. At the same time, there are a lot of useful and modern functions involved in it.

Review of JVC KW-NSX600EE

Multimedia system from a famous brand with a 6.1-inch screen. The approximate cost is 18 thousand rubles.
The following features highlight this radio:

  • 6.1-inch widescreen WVGA screen;
  • Touch panel;
  • There is a digital audio input;
  • Possibility of duplicate control of iPad and iPhone;
  • Mirror Link Technology;
  • There is Bluetooth (adapter included);
  • Support for various formats, including Dolby Digital;
  • The model is equipped with a 3-band parametric IEQ equalizer;
  • Russian menu with tag support in the same language;
  • Separate camera connector;
  • The car radio control can be transferred to the steering wheel;
  • There is Bluetooth, USB and much more.

JVC is the name. This alone may be enough for the model to win high positions in the ranking. Its cost, too, when compared with analogues in terms of parameters, is not high.

Review Pioneer AVH-X2700BT

Car radio, the price of which is 20 thousand Russian rubles.
Endowed with the following characteristics:

  • The display is 6.1 inches multicolor and touchscreen in a 16:9 format. It is possible to adjust the brightness;
  • The car radio supports many modern formats, standards and media;
  • Equipped with a good digital tuner;
  • However, the device does not have a navigator or TV tuner;
  • Peak power 4x50W;
  • There is a multi-color backlight;
  • A good radio tuner with support for FM/CB bands. There is RDS and long-distance reception function;
  • The model is equipped with a 7-band equalizer.

Pioneer is not always the best. As they say, all that glitters is not gold.
So it is in this case - the design is made at the highest level, but the functionality is poor. If we add to this the overly inflated cost, then the car radio loses in the rating.

The winning model

Based on the results and comparison, Alpine ICS-X8 becomes the best 2-din car radio based on Android in this rating. A huge number of modern functions, a lot of useful new products, excellent navigation - all this is represented by the Alpine ICS-X8 car radio.

Technical capabilities

The car radio models described above, including the Alpine ICS-X8, can be easily installed in a car with your own hands. It is enough to have instructions, a useful video review and step-by-step photos of the installation process with you. The price of the best car radio in the rating is a little high, but it is worth it.

Double-din car radio on Android 2.3 OS with a 6.2-inch touch screen and a bunch of different functions. A rear view camera is included as a gift with the radio. Under the cut big review and many pictures. For those who are too lazy to read this, this is an excellent head unit, but the TV in Russia will only be half, and there are also some oddities associated more likely with the seller.

Hello!

Intro

After a long break, I have something to write about again. My colleague decided to replace the conventional radio in his car with a multimedia miracle of Chinese industry. Everything with the requirements was simple - it should be able to read common audio-video formats from major modern media, support GPS, dock with a phone in a hand-free role and be able to connect a parking camera. The task was simplified by the fact that the radio needed to be universal, rectangular, without any special shape or size. After studying the market, it was decided to spend a little more money, but take a radio with Android OS, since it is more modern and has proven to perform better in other mobile devices than Win CE.

So what they promised us:
- support for SD cards (although even in the photo it’s clear that it’s micro) up to 32GB
- built-in Bluetooth and GPS
- support for iDevices, RDS and steering wheel controls
- work with Wi-Fi and 3G via USB whistles
- digital and analogue television
- widescreen screen 16:9, with a diagonal of 6.2 inches and a resolution of 800x480
- many supported formats: DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, AVI, MPEG4, CD, CD-R/RW, CD+R/RW, VCD, Mp3, WMA, JPEG, Mp4, DVD, WMV, MKV , WAV, JPG, TXT, PDF
- of course, radio
- support for navigation software and the ability to connect an amplifier
- remote control
- connectors A/V IN (1 pc.), A/V OUT (1 pc.), camera input (1 pc.), apple input (1 pc.), antenna inputs for radio, TV and GPS (via 1 pc.), AUX-IN (1 pc.), USB (1 pc.)

Package

The decision to order a radio tape recorder was born at a time when the post office was already twitching in convulsions, and the delivery times for the last parcels were absolutely not encouraging - I received parcels that were in transit for 98, 107 and 153 days. However, there was a faint hope that EMS would be able to bypass the postal collapse and the parcel would arrive in at least a month and a half. The order has been made.
Hopes were generally justified, sent on the day of the order, March 29, the parcel left the Chinese post office two days later. Two weeks later it showed up for import, and on April 24 the status changed to ... “unsuccessful delivery attempt.” I won’t describe the calls to the EMS call center in an attempt to understand what was happening, but after the second “unsuccessful attempt” I went and picked up the parcel myself.
Total - 28 days on the road. There was no photo of the parcel, but it looked surprisingly intact, not even wrinkled. So it seemed then. Inside the parcel are two unmarked boxes.

What's in the small box?

In a small box is the promised gift, a parking camera. I won’t go into detail about it, it’s just a regular camera for a license plate frame, of which there are many in Chinese stores. The set includes signal and power cables. The camera is equipped with seven infrared LEDs and a light sensor. The need for them is very illusory, although, if you think about it, I also once had a “penny” without reverse lights. The camera works and seems to be built well, that's all that was required of it.

More pictures with the camera

What's in the big box?

The contents of the large box are the radio itself and three bags of bells and whistles.

The first package contains papers. Very concise instructions on one sheet and two certificates.

The second package includes a mount, a remote control and a GPS antenna. Here, too, everything is very clear. The infrared remote control will be useful if you want to give a little power to the rear passengers. It runs on one small round battery.

Contents of the second package in detail

The third package is wires and a Wi-Fi module. Three bundles of wires are plugged into the back of the radio and provide basic and additional connections - speakers, camera, power, service signals, multi-steering wheel buttons, amplifier, etc. Their purpose is described in the instructions, the wires are marked with color and tags (in two languages - Chinese and English). The white cable is intended for connecting iDevices, although the previous generation, as I understand it, has a wide connector. A short black cable is an adapter from miniUSB on the head of the radio to regular USB. The Wi-Fi module is the most common USB whistle.

Radio tape recorder. Inspection

Now, actually, about the main thing. Externally, the radio looks decent - there are no complaints about the assembly or quality of materials.

The front panel contains controls and a touch screen. The radio has 8 main hard buttons - Home, Menu, Back, Navigation, Radio, Previous track, Next track and Phone. Also, two additional buttons next to the disc receiver are the turn on of the player and the disc eject button. There is one more small button - RESET. In addition, there are two knobs, a microphone hole, a miniUSB port and two slots for microSD cards, one of which is fake.

On the back wall there are ports for connecting wires, cables and antennas. There is also a stick out here with a USB port for connecting a Wi-Fi or 3G module.

Radio from all sides

The first trouble was waiting from below - the bottom cover was seriously jammed. In principle, the damage is not such a terrible thing, but the hexagon next to it is a stand on which the board is attached inside. There was concern that it might also be damaged.

Naturally, the first desire was to take it apart and look, but as it turned out, this is not so simple. The bottom cover is attached to a board that holds something inside (or rather, holds a lot of things). Thus, you can only get inside from above. And at the top cover there was another surprise - the warranty sticker was neatly cut. And if I can still justify the dent by the conditions of transportation, then it is already obvious that someone climbed there for some reason.

Taking advantage of the fact that the warranty is still out, I look under the cover. Below it is a disc player. Alas, at this moment the plunge into the abyss of Chinese technology was interrupted by the owner of the radio, who demanded to stop the abuse. By the way, two of the four screws holding the drive were not fully tightened.

Radio tape recorder. Functions

It's time to turn on this mysterious device. When turned on, a splash screen with a green robot appears on the screen, which then changes to the iridescent word ANDROID. Unfortunately, I haven’t found out yet whether it’s possible to install my own bootscreen and, if so, how. If it is possible, then the task is apparently not trivial.

After booting up, the device turned on the radio. The interface is simple, clear and attractive. The radio is excellent at picking up FM radio stations using a screwdriver inserted instead of an antenna. There are all the functions that can be found in a modern radio receiver.

After listening to information about traffic jams on the Road Radio, I press the Home button. The familiar Android OS interface appears before your eyes. Five desktops that can be filled with shortcuts and widgets, a top panel, a clock and weather widget on the main one - anyone who has dealt with Android will not get lost here. The device supports changing wallpapers, including “live” (animated) ones.

The menu is filled with mostly necessary and useful programs.

The first thing that catches your eye when you open the menu is that the Chinese have installed Angry Birds. Now you can play “birds” not only on your phone or tablet, but also on your car!

Whether it's long or short, it's time to move on. There is a calculator here, with additional functions. So, now, if suddenly while driving there is a need to quickly solve a logarithmic or trigonometric expression (this happens all the time) - no problem!
To work with files, the ES File explorer is installed, and you can access the Internet through a standard browser or through Opera. There are also two email clients - Email and Gmail, as well as the Facebook application. The Chinese even installed Flash, for which, of course, we thank them. There is also a PDF reader - for those who like to read on the go.
Well, and most importantly, there is Google Play, so you can install almost any necessary software simply by connecting the car to the Internet.

Screenshots of some applications

Flash drives and memory cards in FAT format connect without problems, 32 GB media have been tested - no problems. In the internal memory of the device, the Chinese left media files for review: a clip with beautiful girls and several tracks by Britney Spears and someone else. But we have our own movie - it, like music from a flash drive/card, is played by a player application, convenient and easy to use.

A simple equalizer is a standalone application, but is accessible from any player. There are several engines and preset buttons.

The disc player is a separate part. It has its own interface and its own players for different types of data. You can call it by pressing the DVD button on the radio, the Disc shortcut in the menu, or simply by inserting a disc.

Player interface

No disk

DVD with movie

Audio CD

MP3-CD

To work with GPS, the Chinese have provided two programs. The first one is GPS Test. Using it you can make sure that GPS is there and it is working. Since GPS starts when you turn on the radio, no time is wasted on this when calling applications.

The second program is Sygic navigation software. Apparently, this is what the seller has in the colorful pictures, but in reality everything looks a little different - there are no cards.

Therefore, the navigation software was immediately replaced. There were no problems with the installation, everything fit perfectly and works. Through the settings, you can link any application with the NAVI button on the “face” of the radio. I suggested putting Angry Birds on quick call, but for some reason the owner of the radio preferred navigation.

The interface for connecting a phone via Bluetooth is also simple and concise. After “pairing”, the phone is entered into the list and the next time the connection will occur automatically. It supports downloading a phone book from your phone (though only from a SIM) and the ability to maintain your own.

Internet is available either via Wi-Fi or cellular network. In the second case, you need to use a 3G modem. The megaphone modem was easily detected, a cellular network (icon) appeared, and after registering the APN, the 3G icon lit up and the Internet appeared.

There were no problems with Wi-Fi either. The whistle from the kit easily and simply connected to the network and the Internet was available again.

But there was a problem with the TV. The seller's description in small print mentions something about “TV niht arbeiten in some countries,” but it still came as a surprise. The trouble is that, due to the difference in formats, you will only have to watch TV shows with subtitles or sign language translation - there is no sound. True, our Chinese friends have very inexpensive transcoders, so perhaps the sound problem will be solved in one of my next reports.

The last feature I would like to talk about is the rear view camera. In the bundle of wires from the radio there is one called REVERSE. When +12 V is applied to it (when reverse gear is engaged), an image from the camera appears on the screen. If desired, you can configure the sound to be turned off at this solemn moment.

Also, when poking around in the wires, a wire responsible for the backlight was discovered (it is supposed to be connected to the dimensions). The backlight of the radio is blue, the buttons are illuminated, the knobs and the drive slot are illuminated. The backlight is not bright, but all the inscriptions are readable.

Figures and facts

The device has a gigahertz processor and 512 MB of DDR3 memory - it works really fast. Android version - 2.3.4. There is built-in memory, of which approximately 1 GB is available.

Current consumption (one might say without acoustics at all) is slightly more than an Ampere.

The dimensions of the radio are given in the seller's description, but just in case I will add pictures with a ruler.

Installation

Installing the radio does not cause any unusual difficulties, provided, of course, that there is a suitable place for installation. In this case, it was installed in place of the standard single-din radio and the shelf under it. The antenna is standard, the GPS receiver is hidden under the instrument panel. There is no television antenna yet, firstly, because it has not been purchased, and secondly, because it is also necessary to purchase a transcoder to convert the signal format. The parking camera has also not yet been used; instead of a camera on the frame, perhaps later a camera combined with the room lamp will be installed - such a solution is more compact and attractive. For those who are interested, under the spoiler there is a story about installation in a Chevrolet Lacetti car.

Was:

Report in the report - installation of the radio

The Lacetti comes standard with a simple Blaupunkt radio. Its installation location together with the shelf form a suitable place for installing a double-din combine.

The first step is to remove the frame, which is held on by fairly tight latches. In this machine, the frame is removed together with the heater control unit, so together with the latches it is held in place by two connectors and two cables. It is important that the cables are easily removed, but not from the block, but from the places where they go: one - under the steering wheel, the second - behind the glove compartment, which will have to be removed. It's not difficult to remove - there are 6 screws, 3 on top and 3 on the bottom.

After removing the frame, 4 screws become accessible - two hold the radio, two hold the shelf. In the picture they have already been removed, the black and green-yellow connectors are the connection to the standard radio. Black is a standard ISO connector, green-yellow is responsible for connecting the buttons on the steering wheel.

To connect to a new radio, an adapter is made using two painted connectors (instructions for the new radio and a sticker on the standard one), heat shrink and such and such. In general - nothing complicated. Since there are no contacts for the multifunction steering wheel in the ISO connector, in order for the steering wheel control to work, one of the two wires from the standard connector must be connected to the KEY-1 wire of the new radio, the second to a common ground.

Next - estimation and adjustment of the fastening. Here one trouble surfaced - the radio tape recorder turned out to be somewhat smaller than the hole, leaving an unsightly gap along the contour. Alas. Before buying a radio, you definitely need to carefully (damn!) measure its future location. Now we'll have to make some kind of plug, but that's another story.

Despite the fact that the camera has not yet been installed, it is necessary to prepare for this. It is necessary to lay two wires to the rear - signal and REVERSE from the radio. REVERSE will be connected to the positive on the reversing lights so that the radio switches to the signal from the parking camera when reverse gear is engaged. The process of laying wires is for the most part not complicated and does not deserve close attention.

All that remains is to attach a GPS antenna and a Wi-Fi/3G extension somewhere. The GPS antenna wire is quite short, so placing it in the rear of the car is out of the question. In our case, it found a place under the clock on the top of the dashboard.

We were also lucky with the removal of the rear USB - the Lacetti has several huge holes leading from under the panel into the glove compartment. There was no need to invent anything, which is what happened here.

Now everything is ready - you can connect the radio...

... and secure it.

The stove control unit takes its rightful place along with the frame and voila.

Results

It's time to finally take stock. What is good here and what is bad here?
Pros:
+ high functionality, there is everything you need and not so much;
+ good sound. I'm not an esthete, but it certainly sounds no worse than the standard one;
+ good workmanship, nice to look and feel;
+ ease of installation and connection;
+ price. For the money there is nothing like it;
+ Angry Birds! :)

Minuses:
- TV receiver only works halfway, incompatible standard;
- minor oddities that I mentioned at the beginning of the report + bruises;
- the donated camera is not the most successful and compact design;
- size discrepancy is already our private problem.

Overall the impressions are positive. There is only one complaint about the tape recorder itself - the TV. The rest goes to the seller, post office, line.

Thank you for your attention to those who have finished reading and exhausting themselves, good luck to everyone.

2DIN car radios are suitable for installation in a car with a standard hole. The advantage of such models is, first of all, that by removing the panel, you don’t have to worry about the theft of the car radio. After all, if a robber wants to kidnap her, he will not be able to do this. More precisely, he can, but the action will have no meaning.

Features of devices

2DIN car radios are one of the most famous standard options that replace standard radios. There are several main criteria that can persuade a buyer to purchase just such a model:

  • There is a large selection of radios from different manufacturers.
  • All 2DIN car radios are equipped with a lot of additional functions.
  • With their help you can build a high-quality acoustic system. But you need to additionally purchase a sound amplifier, speakers and adapters.

Due to 2-din models, the standard appearance of the dashboard may be disrupted. And this does not always have a positive effect. To install the device in a vehicle, you may need an adapter frame. It's inexpensive, but you still have to spend money. At the same time they cost a little less.

Main manufacturers

The choice of 2DIN car radios is large. Moreover, there are even models created for a specific car. They are called staff. And if you have to choose them among very unknown names (Intro, Ca-Fi and others), then 2DIN multimedia car radios are created mainly by well-known companies. This includes Alpine, Pioneer, JVC, and even Sony. Of course, there are other manufacturers of car radios, but most often these are the ones chosen by the majority of buyers. Let's consider the most famous models.

Kenwood DPX405BT

The main advantage of this model is its versatility. After all, this is a 2DIN car radio on Android with navigation, which can perform a huge number of different functions. Each of them will certainly come in handy on the road:

Prology DVU-600

This 2DIN car radio with navigation also has some features. Its main advantage is that even if the bright sun hits the car interior, this will not interfere with seeing all the information on the display, since the screen is very bright. By the way, the user can choose the color of the display backlight. In addition, it combines a number of other functions:

  • The device reproduces any file formats.
  • Music control application is supported for Android devices.
  • Supports infrared remote control.
  • The display is liquid crystal. Thanks to the size of the screen, you can successfully read texts, view videos and photos.
  • The screen brightness can be changed automatically or manually.
  • Demo mode may be enabled.
  • It has an attractive design, which allows you to use the radio in a car with any style.
  • Has built-in TV and radio tuners.
  • The GPS navigation program is running.
  • You can connect an iPod.
  • By adjusting the equalizer, you can achieve optimal sound.
  • You can connect an amplifier to the radio, which will increase the power of the sound produced.
  • An installation frame is also included in the kit.

All this can be obtained for just 10,000 rubles. Quite a bit, considering that all other high-quality models are significantly more expensive. Buyers of such a device leave mostly positive reviews. Note the versatility of the device.

Alpine CDE-W233R

This 2DIN car radio on Android costs about 11,000 rubles. Combines the same functions as the previous model, as well as several additional ones:

People who bought such a radio tape recorder note the versatility of the device. In their opinion, 11,000 rubles is quite a bit, considering what characteristics the device has.

JVC KW-V20BTEE

This 2DIN car radio with navigation costs from 15,000 rubles. Combines the following advantages:

Alpine INE-W920R

This is the most expensive 2DIN Android car radio with navigation currently available. Its price reaches 45,000 rubles. But it combines a number of characteristics that can significantly ease the path:

This 2DIN car radio, reviews of which are most often positive, amazes buyers with its versatility. They note that the device is a small computer, with the help of which the path will no longer be monotonous.

How to install?

All radios are mounted according to the same principle. Installing a 2DIN car radio is the same as installing a 1-DIN device. First of all, you should remove the old radio. For this it is better to use a Phillips screwdriver. With its help you can remove the console, which is attached with four bolts. 2DIN car radios can be easily removed from the socket. To do this, you can lightly pry it with a flat-head screwdriver. There are two latches on the sides that can be easily released. After this, the car radio should be easily dismantled. After removing the device, you will have access to the wires. Each plug is quite difficult to press out. Therefore, it is better to tilt the radio towards you and carefully disconnect the plug. The new 2DIN car radio on Android must be installed in the reverse order.

That is, you can install the radio yourself. After all, in a car service center the price of this work may be too high, but why waste money?

A couple of years ago I was looking at 2 din multimedia systems for a car, but at that time the budget options were WinMobile, and those with Android on board were sooooo not budget. But everything flows, everything changes, Winmobile fades into the background, Android takes over the market. In this review I want to talk in more detail about the capabilities of a modern budget car radio.
And yes, it still couldn’t be done without a file...

✔ PACKAGING AND EQUIPMENT

The manufacturer did not bother with printing, inscriptions, and so on. A budget option should be budget in everything - that’s why the box is also budget.

But I have no complaints about cargo protection. Everything inside is protected from postal workers by foam inserts.

The instructions in English appear first.

A separate bag contains a remote GPS module. It is advisable to mount it either on the “dashboard” or on the windshield. The cord is 2 meters long, and double-sided tape for fastening is already glued to the bottom of the GPS.

A large set of various tulips for radio inputs/outputs, AUX, audio output, amplifier switching, etc. All wires are marked with an inscription in Chinese on one side and in English on the other side.

A socket for connecting power, speakers and other amplifiers.

All wires are marked.

There is a separate cable for connecting the rear view camera (although it can be hung on a tulip marked “VID1” or VID2), but for automatic activation it must be connected via Cam video in.

The radio also has two USB inputs for connecting external devices, from a flash drive to a 3G modem. The cable length is 1 meter, I took them out into the glove compartment.

A nice bonus to the set is a backlit rear view camera.

Attaches with two screws directly to the bumper.

There is no shaft for mounting the radio in the kit; it either needs to be purchased separately or secured with the included corners.

✔ APPEARANCE

After I got tired of repairing the “knob” on the previous radio, I chose a new one with a minimum of buttons and other knobs. On the front there are only 4 touch buttons for control, a hidden reset button and a hole with a hands-free microphone. Display 7 inches, 1024 x 600, capacitive, with good viewing angles. A protective film is applied to the display.

There are slots at the top and bottom of the radio for air circulation.

The pinout of all connectors is pasted on the top of the radio.

In the back there is a radio antenna connector, a GPS connection port, and a WiFi antenna above them. I recommend securing it not with tape, since vibration can simply break the wire! A 10A fuse is present.

There are a large number of threaded holes on the sides for various options for mounting the radio in the shaft.

The touch buttons are backlit and do not hurt your eyes.

The dimensions of the radio are 11.0*17.6*10.0 cm.

After a complete shutdown, the radio boots up in about 30-40 seconds, and exits standby mode almost instantly. If you install Android 4.4, the download speed will be around 20 seconds. It turns on immediately at the function in which I fell asleep. Turned off at 100.00 FM - turn on at the same wavelength, turn off at 1:05 Untitled Track - turn on at 1:05 Untitled Track, etc. Inside the radio there is Android 6.0.1 with a non-standard launcher, shortcuts can be moved and changed, there are only 3 desktops.

The out-of-the-box applications are quite sufficient for normal operation of the radio, except that the navigation software will have to be delivered separately.

You can additionally connect a recorder and/or chamber.

A dot that can be moved across the entire screen area is access to the quick menu - volume, back, home or shutdown. I didn’t really like this duplication of touch buttons, so I turned off this “dot” in the settings.

The volume can be changed either using the touch buttons or using the slider in the curtain or by pressing "+/-" on the display.

In the alternative launcher it is possible to enable automatic brightness; adjustment is carried out, as far as I understand, according to the time of day. I set the brightness to maximum, it doesn't strain my eyes.

In the “Radio” menu - everything is the same as in the usual FM receiver. At the bottom there are 6 “buttons” for quickly switching your favorite FM stations.

The player and video player are standard.

If you have a WiFi connection to the Internet, you can surf the Internet.

Bluetooth is present, and after pairing with the phone, the radio plays the role of a speakerphone. If you pick up the phone not from the radio, but from a smartphone, then none of those sitting next to you will hear the conversation;).

He picks up the phone book and is comfortable with the Cyrillic alphabet, although he forgets to put spaces between his first and last names.

But it doesn’t pull up the history of calls from a mobile phone, only local ones.

You can also look at photos in a traffic jam; the QuickPic gallery is preinstalled for this.

A file manager and a calculator are also available.

The black background can be replaced if desired.

You can separately purchase a CAN adapter and then the radio will be able to “understand” the car and report open doors, turn on parking sensors, etc. The translation of this application leaves much to be desired. I don't have an adapter, so I can't tell you anything in more detail.

There is also an application to transfer a “picture” from a mobile screen.

The built-in FAQ will tell us how to control and configure the radio, and partly in Google-Russian.

Additional applications that are not placed on the desktop. I didn’t take the photo initially, so it’s mixed with the apps I already installed. All applications are installed normally via PlayMarket. But once I couldn’t open it for almost a whole day, the download just kept spinning and that’s it, deleting updates through the settings helped.

✔ SETTINGS

There are very few radio settings. We set up the equalizer, in fact there is only a 3-band equalizer, but for beauty we made as many as 10 bands. The LOUD function raises the lower and upper registers by the same fixed amount of decibels to raise the overall playback volume.

An interesting visual option for adjusting the sound field.

The translation leaves much to be desired. The only useful thing is to rotate the image from the rear view camera by 180 degrees.

It is possible to automatically launch the selected navigation program. When you turn on the “Remix” option, if a player or radio is running along with navigation, then when voice events occur, such as “After 150 kilometers, keep right on the third descent”, the music will be slightly muffled. The muting level is set using the slider below from 0 to 100%.

The backlight can be changed either from the settings or from the curtain.

FM tuner settings.

What kind of volume this is, I frankly don’t understand. Let it be 40, walk like that, walk.

If your car has buttons on the steering wheel or a radio control lever under the steering wheel, then by connecting the wires from the steering wheel or steering column lever to the KEY and/or KEY1 radio, you can train the radio to respond to key presses. It’s a convenient thing; there’s no need to be distracted by switching tracks. I’m just studying the manual now, how can I get this control out, apparently, I need to look for a soldering iron and buy resistors, the French are a good judge of perversions.

Since there is not much memory, the system can automatically unload unnecessary applications from memory. So that the player or navigation does not turn off along the way, I recommend adding them to the white list.

System information.

Factory reset password is 1234.

The update is present, but where to get the file itself is an open question. The topic on 4pda already has rooted firmware, but all manipulations are at your own peril and risk, there is a possibility of bricking the device.

But for fine-tuning the radio, the manufacturer left a small loophole. By entering the password 16176699, we find ourselves in a huge jungle of various settings.

Everything seems clear, but changing something is a little scary.

From what was useful for myself, I reassigned the volume +- touch buttons to switch the track. It is convenient, when navigation is running, to switch tracks without minimizing the navigation.

✔ INTRINS

It is not difficult to disassemble the radio; unscrew the 4 screws around the perimeter and tilt the front part with the display. Without strong jerks, you can break the cable.

I don’t really like the quality of the microphone, you have to lean towards the radio so that the interlocutor can hear you normally, I plan to move the microphone to a stand and replace it with another one. I'm still studying this question.

General form.

✔ CONNECTION AND USE

There is nothing particularly complicated, but it all depends on your car and pinout. I additionally had to buy one Kenwood + ISO 16 pin adapter.

I swapped the yellow and red wires, because when I turned on the ignition, the radio “reset” the settings. And to connect the camera, I cut off the blue wire and applied + to it from the reverse lights to automatically turn on the rear view camera.

In addition, I simply did not see the plastic frame at the very bottom and bought it separately. True, the price for this piece of plastic, $7 or $20 (for the original), impressed me. Especially regarding the “original” frame, my question, what is the originality and how to check it on a piece of plastic, I did not receive an answer from the seller. I bought the cheapest one, but with thick frames, but the store had a choice with thin or thick frames.

But two days later, after the child inspected the boxes, the included frame was born.

The only difference is in the thickness of the frames, and as it turns out, in the fit size.

The frame from the kit fit perfectly onto the front of the radio, but when installed in a car, unsightly gaps remained on the left and right.

But the frame I bought just didn’t want to fit on the radio. There are not many options, we will remove all unnecessary with a file.

After 20 minutes of hard work, the frame is tight, but fits onto the radio. The boot logo can be selected in the advanced settings for your car.

I also had no luck with the antenna plug; I had to buy an adapter ($1.5).

There were no problems connecting the camera + to + the reversing lights, minus to minus in the bundle of wires going to the headlight.
I attached the camera itself to the bumper with two self-tapping screws from the kit. But if you take it without a rear view camera, then I recommend buying a separate camera that is inserted into the license plate light, it will be simpler and more harmonious, in my opinion. There is only one downside to my version: after rainy weather, the camera needs to be wiped down, as it gets very dirty.

4 LED backlights are an additional bright bonus when driving in reverse at night.

The “range” stripes are embedded directly in the camera, and are not superimposed using a radio tape recorder.

An additional advantage is that the image from the camera is displayed even when the radio itself has not yet loaded. We turn on reverse gear, and the image is automatically displayed on the screen.

In the car, we had to cut off the plastic partition between the two compartments and make a full-fledged 2 din.
Was.

It became like this.

I ask you to understand and forgive me in advance, somehow I didn’t think to immediately connect the keyboard to take screenshots, so photos.

Additional Information

The temperature cannot be called low - 80C, so far I don’t see any problems with this, but if it rises in the summer, I’ll have to think about something, perhaps install a cooler.

Of the sensors, only a temperature sensor.

Display with good viewing angles and sufficient brightness. I did not find any comments regarding the month of operation. There were no severe frosts, but at -3, there were no twitches or freezes. Multi-touch for 5 touches.

Viewing angles, however, are only on both sides, there is not enough space in the car.

I placed the GPS on the “torpedo”, I didn’t notice any problems with reception, the speed was good and fast. Holds an average of 10-15 satellites.

I installed Navitel as the main navigation program, but you can choose it to your liking.

All applications are installed in the radio's memory. Although all programs show 2 GB, there are 16 GB of memory inside.

Online video in 1080 without any lags.

FullHD video is also not a problem.

In Antutu, the radio recorder dials 17148 parrots.

There are 326 and 877 parrots on Geekbench respectively.

✔ ALTERNATIVE LAUNCHER

The stock launcher is simple and clear, but I want beauty and variety. Therefore, I installed a second launcher, CarWebGuru Launcher, which it really won’t assign as a system launcher without ROOT.
Its advantage is that you can create a desktop for yourself by changing buttons, widgets and other information.

In addition, you can choose a theme color to match the car's lighting.

4 desktops in which you can independently change and change all the elements, + you can change the desktop on the go by simply swiping across the screen.

Calm - musical.

For lovers of fast driving.

Another example.

You can simply display the current speed and player control buttons.

Or the current time.

Or visualization of a music track. Reminds me a bit of Winamp.

After the trip, you can view your statistics.

The settings are simple, and there are quite a lot of widgets.

Everything is translated normally, and the developer “lives” in the 4PD topic.

Additional Information

When driving in the dark, the radio does not distract me from the word at all. For now I switch tracks either using touch buttons or tapping on the display.

I still plan to install root, since questions about which launcher to open are distracting and annoying. The second thing is to connect the steering column control to switch tracks.

Despite some disadvantages, I am satisfied with the radio. I’m not a super music lover, I listen to everything in MP3, not FLAC, the acoustics, however, are not standard, but pioneer, in the middle price range, but I didn’t hear any difference with Sonya. Except in terms of volume, yes, Sonya was 10-15% louder at maximum. 1 GB (750 megabytes) is not enough nowadays, but it is quite enough for simultaneous operation of navigation, speakerphone and music. PlayMarket froze completely once, I had to clean out the updates, but this hasn’t happened again yet. The display is a plus; about three years ago I had the opportunity to click on a similar radio, but on a Win platform with a resistive screen, in the cold it was a slide show with a quest to hit the button with your finger. In this radio, there is a completely normal display, the resolution is not FullHD, but much more modest 1024 x 600, but for navigation purposes and occasionally watching a movie, it’s enough. Hidden additional settings are also a plus; if you figure it out, you can quite well customize the radio for yourself. But at the same time, the lack of root “out of the box” is a minus, since the stock launcher, after CarWebGuru, is very “poor” in widgets and customization.
