Greetings to all those who love to simply cook and eat delicious food! 😉 Recently, my son has practically stopped eating dairy products (with rare exceptions in the form of yogurt), and therefore I decided to remember my youthful love for lazy dumplings. True, this time I experimented and made them without eggs. It turned out quite well. Now that it’s on, I, of course, don’t eat them myself. But my son and husband enjoy having breakfast on weekends lazy dumplings without eggs and every time they ask for more.

  • 50 grams of sugar;

How to cook

Curd dough is prepared in the usual way. Combine cottage cheese with cereal and add sugar and salt. Grind everything together, add one large egg. Let it sit, then add flour. We determine its quantity ourselves.

While the dough is standing, remove the seeds from the berries. If the cherries are frozen, let them thaw completely. Otherwise there will be too much juice.

Roll out the entire dough into a long ribbon 5-7 cm long. Place a row of cherries in the middle until the very end. We make a tube so that the filling is inside.

Now this tube needs to be cut. We try to make pieces with berries inside, cut between them. Then we compact each one so that the cherry does not “pop out”.

Cook in the most usual way for a couple of minutes after surfacing. Serve with sour cream, you can sprinkle with sugar or cinnamon powder.

Choose the right pan for preparing dumplings: the vessel itself should be half filled with water. During the cooking process, you will need a reserve so that the water with dumplings does not come too close to the edge of the pan when filling.

Fill the pan with water and, after salting it, place it on the stove. While you are waiting for it to boil, don’t waste time and start implementing the recipe for lazy dumplings without eggs.

Mash the cottage cheese in a bowl. It will be convenient to do this using a fork. While preparing the curd mass, add a pinch of salt and sugar to taste.

In small portions, gradually add flour to the cottage cheese and mix the ingredients. You should get a fairly strong, but very plastic mass from which the dumplings will consist.

When the dough becomes the way we need it, roll it into a sausage on a cutting surface previously dusted with flour. To prepare unsweetened lazy dumplings without eggs, we will need:

  • mashed potatoes - one kilogram;
  • flour - 300 grams;
  • cheese - 100 grams;

How to cook

Remove the finished dumplings with a slotted spoon onto plates and serve with butter or sour cream. You can also add onions fried in oil to the finished dish. These dumplings go well with pickled vegetables and all kinds of unsweetened sauces.

With cottage cheese and semolina

Thanks to semolina and starch, which are part of the dough for these dumplings, the dish has a delicate, airy consistency and a rather interesting taste. These lazy dumplings will be a wonderful dessert if you cook them.

To do this you need the following products:

  • two hundred and fifty grams of cottage cheese;
  • semolina - forty grams;
  • sugar - 1-2 tablespoons;
  • three quarters of a tablespoon of starch;
  • half a teaspoon of salt.

And as in all previous cases, first fill the pan with water (1 liter) and place it on the stove so that the water boils. Also, don’t forget to salt the water for the dumplings. While the water is coming, we will prepare a plastic base for lazy dumplings.

Finely crush the cottage cheese with a blender or rub it through a sieve. In a deep bowl, mix cottage cheese, salt and sugar. Add starch to the resulting mixture and add all the semolina specified in the recipe. After introducing these ingredients, the dough will become dense and can be kneaded with your hands.

We pinch off the dough from the common layer. Roll the piece into a ball with a diameter of one and a half centimeters and place the ball on a board sprinkled with flour. We continue until the entire amount of dough turns into neat, identical balls.

Most likely, by the end of this lesson, the water has boiled, and it’s time to begin the actual preparation of lazy dumplings from semolina and cottage cheese, namely, boil them in boiling water.

Pour the dough balls into the pan and, using a slotted spoon or spatula, separate them from the bottom of the pan so that they do not stick. Dumplings should be cooked over moderate heat. As soon as they rise to the surface, wait two to three minutes and take them out onto a plate. This can be done in two ways: use a slotted spoon or simply drain the water from the pan.
