Online Meditation Meditation Portal. A very powerful meditation technique the way to yourself

What is meditation?

Deep meditation is the simple process of observing your own mind. Not fighting the mind, not trying to control it, just staying there like a witness with no choice. Whatever happens, you simply observe it without prejudice for or against. You don't give names: it shouldn't occur to me, it's a terrible thought, and it's a very beautiful and virtuous thought. You must not judge. You must remain nonjudgmental. Because the moment you condemn, you lose your meditation. You are identified. You become friend or foe. You are creating relationships. Meditation means to remain out of touch with your mental process. Completely out of touch, calm, calm, watching everything that happens. And then a miracle happens: little by little we realize that thoughts are becoming less and less. The more alert you are, the less thoughts come; the less alert you are, the more thoughts come. It is as if the flow of movement depends on your awareness. When you are fully aware, even for a short moment, all thinking stops. Suddenly there is an unexpected stop. And the road is clear, there is no more traffic. This moment is meditation.

Gradually, these moments will come more and more often. These empty spaces will come again and again and stay for a longer time. And you will be able to enter easily, effortlessly into these empty spaces. Thus, every time you want to enter, you can move into these empty spaces effortlessly. They are refreshing, rejuvenating, and they make you aware of who you are. Freed from the mind, you are freed from all ideas about yourself. Now you can see who you are without any prejudice. And to know ourselves is to know everything that is worth knowing at all. And to miss knowing oneself is to miss everything. A person can know everything in the world, but if he does not know himself, he is completely ignorant, he is just a walking Encyclopædia Britannica.

Freedom without awareness is just an empty idea, it contains nothing. A person cannot be truly free without being conscious. In this case, your subconscious takes over you. Your subconscious is pulling your strings. You may think, you may believe that you are free, but you are not free, you are just a victim of natural forces, blind forces.

So there are two types of people. Most follow tradition, society, state. Orthodox people, traditionalists, conformists, they follow the crowd. They are not free. And then there are some rebellious souls. They are out of society, representatives of Bohemia, artists, painters, musicians, poets; they think they live freely. But they only think so. It is only through protest against tradition that you do not become free. You are still under the control of natural instincts. You are obsessed with lust, greed, ambition. And you are not the master of these things. You are their slave. Therefore, I say that freedom is only possible through awareness. Until you transform your unawareness into awareness, freedom will not happen.

And in this only a few have succeeded: Jesus, Lao Tzu, Zarathustra, Buddha. Just a few people who can be counted on the fingers. They really lived free because they lived consciously. This should be the work of every seeker: to create more and more awareness. Then freedom will come by itself. Freedom is the fragrance of the flower of awareness.

The Art of True Spiritual Meditation

Meditation for the soul should be a joyful act, it should be a song. It should not be done as a duty, it should be fun, entertainment, play. If you make meditation a duty, you are missing the point. It doesn't happen to you. It can only happen when you are in a carefree, non-serious mood. Seriousness is heavy, and everything that is heavy pulls you down. You have to be as non-serious as a child playing on the seashore, collecting shells, colorful stones, running back and forth as part of the wind, sea, sand and sun. When this lightness is present, you have wings, you can fly high. Spiritual meditation means moving your energies upward.

It was then that you learned the art of meditation.

Osho: The Imprisoned Splendor, Chapter 14 (Diary)

I don't want you to be serious; I'm so against seriousness. This is a spiritual disease. Laughter is spiritual health, laughter makes it easier. When you laugh, you can leave the mind very easily. For a person who cannot laugh, the doors to the Buddha are closed. For me, laughter is one of the most important values. No religion has ever thought about it. Religions have always insisted on seriousness, and because of their efforts, the whole world is mentally ill.

What do all these different "paths" such as Yoga, Tantra, Devotion, etc. mean?

All the methods that lead one to realization are, in their essence, awareness. Minor components may be different.

I talked about yoga, tantra, hasidism, tao, zen, all the possible methods that humanity has used. I wanted you to know about all the ways in which man has tried to reach the truth that brings liberation; however, all of these methods involve awareness at their core.

That's why I'm only talking about awareness now.

Whatever you do, whatever method you practice, there is no difference. These are all just different names given by different people in different times- but they all practiced awareness.

In essence, only awareness can lead you to the ultimate goal. In fact, there are no different paths - there are only different names for one path, and that path is awareness.

Osho, Osho Upanishads, chapter 13

Meditation - the path to health Everyone wants to find peace, clarity of mind and health, but in our crazy rhythm of life, this seems completely impossible. Nevertheless, there are people who succeed - they perfectly combine their work and spiritual development. How do they do it? Through meditation. Our time has turned us into robots. We wake up - have breakfast - go or drive to work - work - go or drive home - have dinner - mind our own business for a few hours - go to bed. We even return home like robots: exactly at 18:15 we go to a stop, at 18:20 a shuttle bus arrives, we drive around the city without even seeing the city - we fly somewhere in the clouds, we get lost somewhere in our thoughts , in our past or in the dreams of the future, we scroll through the picture of the whole working day, we think about the wife, about the husband, about the children, about what we need to buy tomorrow, what to watch on TV, where to buy cheaper, what to do on the weekend what to give a friend for his birthday in two months, etc. - and suddenly we are already near our entrance, near our house. And how did we get here? What did we see on the street, on the bus, in the subway between work and home? But we don't think about it. We are like robots, like a program in a computer that performs the same tasks laid down by the programmer and the creator. This rhythm tires us. We have 10 meetings a day, hundreds of papers and thousands of thoughts. We come home and we barely have the strength to eat. We consciously or unconsciously strive for peace and quiet. We all acquire this calmness and the habit of contemplation in our own way (read the article on proper relaxation) - from an old woman with knitting needles in her hands, sitting by the stove, to a fisherman spending on the river summer evening forgetting about time. When our attention is completely absorbed by something, the psyche is silent; when we manage to focus on one subject, the endless internal chatter ceases. In fact, the feeling of satisfaction that we experience when our attention is occupied with something does not come from the activity itself, but from the fact that our anxieties and problems are forgotten. But these pursuits can only give us a short respite while we are absorbed in them. As soon as we are distracted, our consciousness returns to the usual routine of aimless wandering - wasting its energy on thinking about the past or dreaming about the future, constantly retreating from solving urgent problems. Remember!!! To achieve a state of longer lasting satisfaction, you need to train your mind! But one question arises: How? And there is only one answer: Meditate! Nowadays we hear more and more from different people this word. It becomes popular. All more people trying to meditate. More and more of their time is trying to devote to meditation. And this is not surprising. Meditation is a way out, it is a way to gain health! What is meditation? Meditation is a mental action through which the continual observation of consciousness is made. This means that consciousness is focused on one object, pacifying the psyche in order to perceive Itself. By stopping the waves of thoughts, you come to understand your true nature and discover wisdom and peace in yourself. Here's what OSHO says about meditation: Meditation is not against action. It does not require you to flee from life. It only teaches a new way of life - how to remain the center of the cyclone. Your life then moves on, becoming more intense, more joyful, clearer, more creative, and yet you stand aside, you are just an observer on a hill who sees everything around. You are no longer a doer, you are an observer. With constant practice in meditation, you can increase your willpower; your thinking will become clearer and more focused, influencing everything you do. You will begin to notice that external circumstances affect you less. Whether you've had a tough week at work or spent a happy day in the country, your mood stays the same because you're getting stronger inside. You gain security by realizing that in the midst of all the changes that are the essence of life, you can remain constant and confident. Through meditation, you can cure many mental and physical illnesses, your fears, apathy, and phobias will disappear. You will become more alive, fresher, newer, you will feel extraordinary confidence in yourself and your abilities, you will be surprised at what is happening to you - you will change, and change for the better! However, do not flatter yourself with hopes that meditation is so easy... As Swami Vishnu-devananda wrote: Meditation is not easy. A beautiful tree grows slowly. It is necessary to wait for its flowering, the ripeness of its fruits and their taste. Flowering in meditation is a calm that pervades the whole being. Her fruit... defies description. Meditate! It is the path to physical, mental and emotional health. Nobody but you will do it.

The path to yourself often lies through meditation. But what is meditation, what is this state? Before giving an answer, discard everything that you knew about it, for meditation, or a body of knowledge in the first place. Meditation is your unique experience of an altered state of consciousness, the experience of going beyond the boundaries of the mind, the boundaries that we set for ourselves in order to make our life more orderly, more systematized and more scarce.
