Five ways to get along with your boss. Interaction with a female boss How to find a common language with a female boss

Once, in my youth, I read a book, the content of which had long since disappeared from my head, except for one episode: the secretary, before carrying the prepared coffee to the boss, always spat in him ... I remember it shocked me - to what extent you need to hate the boss, to do so. Later, of course, I heard many complaints about the bad, and even unbearable character of the boss.

What can be advised here?

It seems to me that if the boss causes obvious antipathy, then it is better to leave.

Well, well, if leaving is impossible, then you need to try to build relationships.

First of all, change your own perception of this person. Find all the positive things in it.

If this is a private company, and your boss is its owner, then he deserves respect at least for the fact that he created it, gave you a personal job and pays money.

In addition, we must not forget that the boss is not a native of hell, but an earthly person. And since he is a man, then there is not only bad, but also good in him. And your task is to make him turn to you with the bright side.

To do this, try to get rid of the accumulated resentment. Repeat to yourself as often as possible: “I forgive my boss (Ivan Ivanovich). My grievances melt like snow under the sun.

Think about the fact that a happy person is usually kind, therefore, if your boss is rude, irritable, then your boss is unhappy. Have pity on him, as you pity a homeless dog, a helpless kitten from the gateway. Set yourself up for pity and compassion.

Remember - you often give to the poor?

I'm sure not. And you have to submit...

In addition, you can serve not only food and other material things, but also kind words and care. Serve all this to your boss, and you will not only get closer to heaven, but also to the heart of your boss, to a good relationship with him.

Also try to find out what he is interested in, what he loves, what he has a weakness for, and at the first opportunity, talk to him about this topic. If he gets carried away and starts telling you about his hobby or favorite dog, just listen. A good listener is highly valued by people.

Many people say that flattery helps, but I do not agree with this. Rough flattery, on the contrary, can repel.

Even if your boss is a woman, don't overdo it with compliments.

A man with a female boss can build a good relationship if you just be gallant, obligatory and a little romantic ...

True, if the boss is a tyrant, she will also swallow coarse flattery.

If you are a woman, then in front of a female boss, you should not prove to her that you are younger, more beautiful, more desirable. This is exactly the case when modesty adorns a person. A modest employee will more easily establish an even relationship with her boss, receive a higher salary, and she will have more chances for promotion than a “mega-star” demonstrating her dignity.

In general, tact, willingness to help, respect, the ability to see and appreciate other people's merits and achievements almost always help in communicating with superiors and colleagues.

October 16 is Chef's Day. On this day, you need to remember that the leader is also a profession and work without rest. Most employees cannot find a common language with management, so we will talk about how to establish contact with the boss.

Chef's Day has been celebrated since 1962. At first, the idea of this event was only for employees to remember to congratulate their management and thank them for their honesty and good attitude towards employees. The holiday has taken root in many countries, but over time, its essence has changed a bit. In the modern world, it is generally accepted that a boss is not even a profession, but power over other people, but a leader is the most responsible position in any enterprise. For most employees, it may seem that their boss is a real tyrant, to whom it is impossible to find an approach. Many employees are terrified of their bosses, and they are, in fact, the same people as everyone else. They work without rest, are responsible for every action, every word spoken and for the well-being of those who work in the company. Today we are talking about how to find a common language with management, and if not make friends with them, then at least establish normal contact and understand that a leadership position is the most responsible profession.

How to talk to the boss? There are no identical bosses. There are different types of leaders, each of which will require an individual approach. If your boss is a rather vindictive person, he will remind you at every opportunity that you once allowed the imprudence to say that he was wrong about you and your professionalism. With this type you need to behave with restraint. A vindictive boss rarely praises his subordinates, but he has advantages over other types - he is democratic in leadership. If you want to gain his trust, show how interested you are in promoting the company, show your best qualities. It is useless to prove something to such people, they evaluate only real actions that show the professionalism of the employee.

There is another type of boss - a pedant. He is very meticulous about everything that deviates from the established norms. He likes the order in the office: reports are right on time, showing up for work on time. With this type, everything is clear - the employee is only required to follow the established rules, and there will be no problems with the management. Pedants pay attention to every little thing, so valuable employees will always be singled out.

Some bosses just love showing off - they are not so much interested in the result of the work of their subordinates as order in the workplace. In addition, such bosses do not like it if employees in the office are “smarter” than themselves. This type of boss is the most difficult. You should take a neutral stance and just do your job well, but don't get carried away. Take a close look at the boss: for sure you will be able to discern positive character traits in him, but you should not make friends with a person who puts his interests above all else. Keep your distance.

Stand up for your rights. Psychologists advise to identify the most important points for the employee even during employment. The bosses love to sit down "on the head" of those employees who are characterized by lack of initiative and weak character. Talk to the boss in advance about how his employees work. You do not have to go to work on the weekends or cancel your vacation because of a heavy workload. It is these problems that become a stumbling block in communication with superiors. By specifying all these points at once, you will facilitate your work and be able to agree with the management.

Learn the style of the boss. This is necessary if you are going to work in the company for a long time and find a common language with the management. Finding out what kind of person your boss is will make it easier for you to make contacts. If the leader appreciates ideological and purposefulness, take the initiative, offer new projects for the development of the company. If your boss is an organized person, strictly follow all the rules and try to be like him: do not be late, do not waste working time on things that have nothing to do with work.

Never quote the labor code to your boss. They do not like this and know perfectly well without you what is written there and what you are supposed to do. Every employee has rights, however, depending on the situation, you must act correctly. Let's say there's an emergency at work. The fact that you should work no more than eight hours, the boss, of course, knows, but if the situation is critical, sometimes it does not hurt to give in to management. Did your boss ask you to stay late? Agree, but at the same time very tactfully hint that next time, if you need it, the boss will have to let you go early. Note that in this way you will not only help out the bosses, but also let the boss understand that you have the right to count on “benefits”.

Take an interest in leadership issues. Don't think that bosses don't have problems. They are also people, and they have a personal life for which sometimes there is no time. If the boss is in a bad mood, he may have serious problems that are not related to work. Without pressure, very calmly and unobtrusively, try to bring the boss into contact. Even if he does not want to share his problems with you, try to be polite, sympathetic and encouraging. Showing interest in him not only as a leader, but also as a person, you will earn his respect and trust.

Don't be lazy. The authorities do not like lazy and uninitiated workers. You will never make contact with management if you treat your duties in a slipshod manner. Waiting for praise or encouragement from the boss is stupid if you are doing your job "deuce". You can be sure that the boss is always watching the staff, even if more than a dozen people work in his office. Submit reports on time, do not be late, deal only with work matters, and not personal problems. Only hard work, professionalism and responsibility can earn a good attitude from the management.

It can be difficult for a leader to deal with subordinates. But the work in the institution does not stand still, it is necessary to achieve results, and, therefore, to look for ways to motivate employees and strengthen authority in the team.

How to make friends with an unfamiliar team?

It is not easy to be in the role of an “outside” leader - an unfamiliar team, a new company, employees with unsatisfied ambitions. The adaptation period takes about three months. If the leader shows the qualities listed below in this period of time, the team will like him.

  1. Observation. This trait will help determine who is the unspoken leader in the new team.
  2. Literacy especially in problem setting.
  3. Energy. Try to charge the team with the desire to work.
  4. Sociability. You can even arrange a corporate party and talk with tipsy subordinates who have become liberated and more talkative.
  5. Conservative. Do not immediately introduce your charter into someone else's monastery, people may react negatively, the arrival of a new boss is already stressful for them.
  6. Active approach. The new leader can look at the company from the outside, because he has not yet completely joined its ranks, and notice the shortcomings and mistakes of his predecessor. By correcting them, the boss will be able to earn the authority of employees.

How to motivate employees with low wages?

Everyone works for money. It is a fact. 20-30 years ago it was still possible to find people of the Soviet temper who were ready to work for an idea, but those times are gone. In a market economy, no one will work for free. Employees want high wages, heads of institutions and firms want cost reductions. You have to balance. It is not always possible to pay a large salary, but you want to keep an employee in place.

In this situation, intangible or low-cost incentives can be used.

  1. Competitions and themed days.

People love to feel like winners. The spirit of competition wakes up, even if you arrange a goose walking contest. And a professional competition (who will sell more, prepare the best project, who will have more excellent students in the class) or a collective culinary competition (which department, department or class has the best dish for Halloween) will not leave anyone indifferent. The prize can be the opportunity to leave the whole week an hour earlier from work, a portrait on the honor roll or a certificate to a cosmetics store.

  1. Praise.

Feedback should also be given to employees with high salaries, but it is more important for low-paid employees. Praise is the second strongest incentive to stay in the workplace after a paycheck. For motivation, both a public assessment of an employee’s work at a meeting and praise in a personal conversation with the boss are suitable.

  1. A graph showing the dynamics of the activities of departments (the results of students in classes, etc.).

The same reference to competitions: an employee sees that a colleague is more successful and tries to catch up and overtake him. The employee gets excited, even if he was not promised a prize for this.

  1. Consult with employees.

Gather a meeting where the whole company or one of the departments will be present and give everyone the opportunity to speak, regardless of status. People will feel trust in them, believe that their word is significant. Motivation by the atmosphere in the team of a company of any size and activity is an effective tool.

  1. Keep your balance.

There shouldn't be too many rewards. Keep the effect of novelty. Employees should not get used to "buns". Let them dream of a gift from the company. The optimal frequency of promotions is once every 1-2 months.

How to become a leader?

There are different opinions about leadership. Part of society believes that a leader must be born. For example, a group of geneticists from University College London discovered a gene for leadership. They studied the genetic data of American leaders for two years and found a similar genotype.

Others believe that leadership can be learned. It is not for nothing that more and more faculties with the specialty “Organization Management” are now appearing.

There are general rules for those who aspire to leadership:

  1. Develop self-confidence. The most important thing for a future leader is to believe in yourself. People will not follow a person if he is a “scumbag”.
  2. You need to set specific goals for yourself and the team, make plans and work every day to achieve them.
  3. Initiative should be your trump card. Follow the main trends in the industry, make plans, turn them into reality, first mentally, then in practice.

British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher became famous for her tenacity. This trait can be seen in a large number of famous leaders. There is a theory of leadership qualities, whose supporters tried to find something similar in the characters of famous leaders. Different researchers at different times identified similar features.

Among them:

  • purposefulness;
  • prompt decision making;
  • solid character;
  • equilibrium;
  • self-confidence;
  • responsibility;
  • vigor and constant action;
  • ambition;
  • ability to think ahead.

The leader is leading, not chasing behind. He knows how to ignite, motivate people, set specific goals. The leader is an energetic person, he infects others with his enthusiasm, strives for each employee to be able to reveal his potential to achieve a common result.

You can develop the qualities of a leader with the help of psychological exercises:

Exercise 1. Reward. Leadership is a means to an end. Determine what you want out of life. Think about your goal in great detail. This will give you strength in difficult situations.

Exercise 2. Success Journal. According to the theory of negative bias, our brain remembers unpleasant moments better. This ability was left over from the cavemen. They memorized what is dangerous in order to survive. Good memories “fly out of your head” faster, they need to be fixed. To do this, start a success journal and write down your victories there every day. This will help boost your self-esteem.

Exercise 3. Learn from leaders. Ask questions, seek advice from successful people, learn from their positive habits. Read biographies of famous leaders, learn from their examples.

EXPERT OPINION

Psychologist, head of the Center for the settlement of social conflicts Oleg Ivanov:

Not everyone is given to manage people, to be a leader, a leader. A good specialist, a pro in his field may not master even the lowest managerial position. Future managers, of course, are now being trained in universities, but not every graduate will be able to cope with this role in life.

To maintain a favorable atmosphere in the work team, it is best to stick to the good old “carrot and stick” method: scold when employees are at fault and praise when they do a great job. A cohesive team is the key to the success of an organization, and motivated employees work better than under duress. Be the master of your word: if you promised something, do it. Protect your subordinates in front of other bosses, this will cause more trust from employees.

Profiler, specialist in operational psychodiagnostics, image expert, personal and corporate image consultant Liana Bahova:

A leader is not a position, but a style of thinking and behavior. There is an opinion that the one who aspires to it has the power. But this statement is very conditional. I can say with confidence that anyone who wants to become a leader can, with the exception of those rare individuals who do not even try.

But how effective a leader he will be, what style of leadership he will choose, how he will manifest himself in stressful situations, what team he can form, on the basis of which he will make decisions, what reputation he can earn for business, will depend on his personal and psychological characteristics, on his habits, references and the deep structure of personality.

International business coach - Dun & Bradstreet number 565675295, expert of the Council of Europe, UN and OSCE in training and consulting projects, coach of the Council of Europe Leadership Academy, social engineering expert Alexander Meshalkin:

In my opinion, if you want to be a successful leader, you must constantly work on your upgrade. To do this, you need to muster up the courage and say to yourself “I don’t know this” or “my old-school views have already come to be taken to the trash.” Anton Pavlovich Chekhov has a good saying: "Only fools and charlatans know everything and understand everything."

To increase the personal effectiveness of the manager and build relationships between departments, training will help you

J.P. Morgan investment banker Yael Zofi thought she was going to be fired. This friendly, outgoing woman's boss was the complete opposite. He led a division that was engaged in the search and promotion of leaders within the company. Zophie wrote long work letters in a casual manner, and her boss responded with the utmost succinctness. “I wanted to describe to him the approach, the process itself, and the time it would take to complete the project,” she recalls. - And he answered: "Yes." I was indignant: “What - yes ?!”

With great reluctance, Zofi adjusted to her boss's communication style. “I went crazy until I realized that he needed only the most important and point by point,” she says. She began to omit all but the most important details and sent short letters to the boss - almost the same as his answers. A few weeks later, she went on vacation with a friend. “I had such a bad relationship with my boss that I was mentally preparing to quit,” admits Zofi. But instead, upon her return to New York, she was made vice president.

This story took place in the 1990s. Little did Zophie realize at the time that she was using a technique that helped many employees build relationships with their immediate superiors. Namely, "tuning". In other words, she assessed the boss's weaknesses, paid attention to his leadership and communication style, and came up with a strategy for her own behavior.

Subordinates must understand that the most important relationship in their work life is the relationship with their line manager. Think of your boss as a customer, not as a colleague or just a superior manager, about how you can help him.

Who is your boss? A perfectionist who can't stand mess? An innovator who is eager to experiment and take risks? A friendly extrovert who easily connects with a lot of people? The first necessary step is to carefully analyze the personality of your boss.

Is your boss constantly late and doesn't have time to prepare for meetings? You should arrive early and prepare materials for the upcoming meeting for him. He will certainly appreciate it.

Does your boss prefer to have a few words in the hallway? Or sit down and talk face to face? Or does he prefer formal e-mail? Follow the communication style of the boss - he will get the feeling that you speak the same language.

If your boss likes lengthy discussions, you will need to curb your impatience. If he likes to make decisions collectively, take the trouble to gather the right people in one place. It would seem that these are trifles. But it is better to adjust in small things than to abandon your ideas because they are difficult to convey to the boss.

In 1998, Zofi left J.P. Morgan and founded her own consulting company, AIM Strategies. In 2008, she published a book on relationships with superiors. The technique of playing by the rules of the boss is one of the foundations of her consulting work. “You have to take your relationship with your boss very seriously,” she advises. - Think of the boss not as a boss, but as a client. Communicate with superiors in their language.

Zofi identifies several basic types of bosses. At the same time, of course, he admits that most people are complex beings, combining the properties of different types. Once you've determined your boss's style, it's time to approach him.

For example, your boss is a perfectionist. He cannot stand chaos in all its manifestations and expects his subordinates to be experts in their field. In this case, you should always do preliminary research, ask questions before starting work on the project, provide him with a lot of information and write reports on intermediate results.

What if your boss is incompetent? One of Zofi's clients worked for a medical device manufacturer and reported to the owner's daughter. The company assembled magnetic resonance imaging scanners from parts produced in various countries, including India, China and Israel. Overwhelmed by the tasks of coordinating a large number of contractors, the boss completely lost her peace and constantly pestered her subordinate with questions - even interrupting her from meetings and negotiations with remote suppliers.

“My client was very annoyed, even affected her personal life,” recalls Zofi. She advised the woman to analyze the eccentric personality of the boss and think about how to calm her down. Instead of openly going against her boss, Zofi's client turned to foreign suppliers for information. As a result, she compiled spreadsheets that reflected the status of each part and the timing of its receipt in production. “She made sure the boss was calm,” Zofi notes. The strategy worked. In addition, she developed good relationships with suppliers, which helped to avoid problems in the future. "She doesn't like her boss," Zofi notes, "but she still has a job and she can handle it."

So how do you deal with a bad boss?

Once upon a time I came across an interesting classification of bosses on the Internet ... Having become interested, I began to read similar materials, and, in the end, I created my own "summary" classification! Of course, all this is rather arbitrary: real people are much more complicated than an abstract "psychotype", in the same person several characteristic figures can successfully "get along" at once. I hope that this semi-joking information and quite serious recommendations will help someone build the right line of behavior at work or make the right decision! So, I present to you...

Villain or Thunder and Lightning.
Always angry, in eternal time trouble, no one understands him and is not able to understand - there are sheer loafers and stupid people around! The endless op has long become not just a habit, but second nature, a person is simply not able to talk normally. The working day in the office begins with a dressing on the carpet at the boss's - collective or individual, just like that, "for prevention", otherwise "they won't work"! After threats and generous distribution of promises to fire, deprive bonuses, cut wages, etc., accompanied by very unflattering characteristics addressed to each employee, he sends everyone to “immediately work” ... After about half an hour, people gradually come to their senses and are already able to enter normal working rhythm! They are afraid of such a boss and cannot stand it, no one wants to feel like a complete nonentity all the time. Some of the employees really start to work carelessly: “if you really rake, then at least for something, you will still find something to cling to”! You can work with such a leader if you have steel cables instead of nerves, you need to “finish” the blood from your nose a few months before retirement, or you are really a complete indifference and loafer, and you don’t care where and who will yell at you - as long as the money paid ... Going out of your way and trying to prove your professional worth in the hope that you will be noticed and appreciated in this case is useless! The only thing that is guaranteed to you with such a leader is the usual validol under the tongue or a cigarette in shaking hands, as well as periodic “breakdowns” on innocent household members, in the future, stomach ulcers, permanent depression and absolutely low self-esteem are possible ... Guess this type of boss with with a high probability it is possible through endless recruitment announcements, because his staff turnover exceeds all reasonable limits! Hand on heart - it is futile to fight him, and health is more expensive, it is better to look for another job ... Just be careful - "in your hearts" you risk getting a very unflattering entry in the work book, it is better to argue your departure with "family circumstances".

Close enough to this psychotype of the leader are adjoining Autocrat, Samodur and Man of moods.

Autocrat, as befits a crowned lady, creates a real hierarchy of relations in the team! There are always “persons close to the emperor” and clear favorites, “disgraced shooters” and jesters, the vigilant “palace guards” and full-time informers, enemy conspirators and, in fact, “the people” ... Each has its own role, however, roles can suddenly and change! Such a boss is unlikely to come down to screaming - he has enough henchmen who will do the “dirty work” for him. Half of the chief's team praises to the skies. Half - quietly hates ... It all depends on the occupied "step"! Constantly playing any role in itself is quite difficult, besides, there is a high risk of "out of the blue", due to someone's intrigues, to fall into disgrace. I had to work in such a team - the safest thing is to be "the people", just work and try to stay away from everything else ...

Petty tyrant- he is a tyrant! Send the chief accountant to unload the car with the goods on the eve of the annual balance sheet - that's it! It is also very good for managers to periodically paint the walls in the warehouse during working hours, weed out between the flagstones in the yard, or knock icicles off the roof. In fairness, I note that such Petty tyrant- the boss himself can flicker under the windows of the office for half a day, testing a new lawn mower and getting real pleasure at the same time ... Job responsibilities and simple expediency do not matter to him: “I want it that way, I want it, and let my will be instead of an argument”! God forbid you try to explain to your boss that you can go on a business trip on the eve of March 8 only for the purpose of presenting gifts, but not for serious negotiations: mentally he has already “sent” you there, so ... relax and go! A person is almost unpredictable, but you can get along with him, unconditionally fulfilling all his orders, no matter how strange they look ...

Man of moods just as unpredictable as Samodur. In the morning, a 32-tooth smile shines on the boss’s face, but at any moment it can be replaced by a “thundercloud” ... Such a boss resembles a capricious child, but his chronic infantilism can pretty much spoil the nerves of his subordinates! If the boss is not in a good mood, the most correct thing is to work quietly in a corner and catch his eye less, but this still does not give a 100% guarantee of avoiding a hot hand: “it’s your fault that I want to eat” ... Build normal, even relationship with such a boss is simply not realistic.

Autocrat - Multitasker. Most often, this is a private entrepreneur. He had enough knowledge and self-confidence to create his own business, however, being convinced that no one can do anything better than him, he does everything (or at least controls!) personally. In addition, it is extremely suspicious - after all, there are only envious people and enemies around! He delves into everything, down to the last detail, even controls the availability of toilet paper ... Coffee - and he brews himself, but by no means out of democracy: he is simply sure that he knows how to do it better than a secretary! Completely "crushes" subordinates under him, monitors their every step - career growth under the supervision of such a leader is very problematic, there is no way to gain your own experience ...

Manager is excellent. He is well versed in the specifics of work and the problems of the entrusted department, he works flawlessly himself, but he demands the same from others. He knows how to correctly distribute the workload between employees, clearly formulates the task, constantly analyzes incoming information, plans everything for a long time ahead - and, as a result, achieves maximum efficiency in work! A boss of this type will definitely note your conscientious work, but you should not provoke his anger: quietly, without raising your voice, in an office behind a closed door you can literally be smeared on the wall (usually deservedly!) ... The only disadvantage of such a leader is that he does not accept initiatives " from below”, dismissively calling it “amateur activity”! In principle, it is quite possible to work under his leadership, the only risk is to become completely “slave” over time ... However, in the absence of great ambitions and aspiration for career growth, you can easily work with such a boss until retirement!

"Stirlitz". Former military man, "special officer", policeman or employee of state security agencies. First of all, it requires the strictest discipline from subordinates, punishing all, even the most minor violations, with the help of a perfect system of “fines”! Constantly collects all possible information about employees, especially loves compromising evidence. For the sake of this, he does not disdain to “get into confidence” at the right moment, in every possible way encourages scammers and sneaks. He himself is extremely cautious and secret, everything that is possible is locked in the office, information on computers is protected by a complex password system - in short, only he himself has all the information about the company's activities ... Sometimes it damnably interferes with work in general, but Stirlitsa is not does not bother - he is inclined to see an enemy spy in everyone! It is theoretically possible to work with him, only you need to constantly control your every step and keep your mouth shut ...

Turtle - Retrograde. The head of this type of special stars from the sky is not enough, he went to his position for long, painful years, now the most important thing for him is to stay on track. He is terribly afraid of any innovations - “no matter what happens!” and lives by the principle; “a step to the right, a step to the left is equivalent to an escape”, therefore, nothing is trying to change or improve ... An idyll in the team occurs if all employees in the state are the same “sleepy flies”, then they boil together in their own juice. This is not the worst type of boss, but the trouble is that he is often "bypassed" by more decisive and enterprising ...

Slavemaster and Greedy. Often these hypostases coexist in one person, successfully supplemented by the quality the beast

For slave owner characteristic is a completely disregard for the people working under his command ... There are many unemployed specialists, but no irreplaceable ones! I am ready to sob over a sick guard dog and lay out, without batting an eye, a mind-boggling amount for its treatment and enhanced nutrition, but will refuse an employee’s request to expedite the payment of wages in connection with a heart attack in his mother ... At the same time, he requires unconditional obedience from employees, any disagreement with the opinion leadership is fraught with immediate dismissal with an eloquent entry in the work book!

greedy sees payday as a personal affront. The mere thought of parting with money, even someone else's, drives him into a quiet frenzy. Salaries in such an organization are constantly delayed or cut in any way, there can be no question of any “increase in salary”. Since he himself is not used to denying himself, his beloved, anything, all standing employees scatter from him like cockroaches. The rest work "through the stump of the deck" and often do little dirty tricks ...

Noble - Coordinator. Full of importance, does not speak, but speaks. At every opportunity, he makes it clear how much higher he is than the surrounding mortals! Surrounded by a crowd of sycophants and hangers-on, he never does anything on his own - for this there are deputies and a secretary, he only manages. The maximum he can do is put his priceless autograph on paper ... At the same time, all employees are fully loaded, constantly forced to work overtime, on weekends and holidays. Lunch break meetings are sacred! At the same time, everyone around is loafers and loafers ... Decide for yourself, for a long time you will be enough with such work "for wear and tear"?

Liberal, Own Man, Shirt - Guy. An example of democracy in relations with subordinates, welcomes innovations and career growth of employees. Communicates on "you" without unnecessary ceremonies, employees are also allowed to "poke" him in response. The motto of such a boss is: “We all do one thing together!” In many respects, working with him is a pleasure, he “gets into position” and can let go early, there are no problems with sick leave, the issue of vacation is resolved painlessly. He can, if necessary, ask to work overtime, but he will definitely compensate you for this in one way or another! All birthdays and holidays are celebrated by the whole team "in a big way", the presence at such events is mandatory ... What's the catch? Firstly, under the guise of such a darling boss, Man of moods… Secondly, some of them, using familiarity, skillfully collect dirt, like "Stirlitz"... And thirdly, employees who are accustomed to greater discipline in the workplace gradually begin to sit on the head of such a leader: squabbles begin in the team over who should do what and people relax, start being late and even skip work ... Exactly then the "common cause" begins to suffer: everything, and liberalism, is good in moderation!

Professor and Tourist. Often, too, are found in one person!

Professor, most often, a person is absolutely random in a leadership position. Burdened with numerous titles and regalia, such a boss has no concept of greenery about the practical side of things - it is often simply dangerous to allow him to work: this, out of ignorance, heaps up ... The only salvation is a competent deputy, and Professor let him ride through countless seminars and symposiums!

Tourist- this is an absolute Figaro ... Also, like Professor, constantly on the road, both for business and for personal pleasure! Perhaps he is a good specialist, but the problem is that when he is needed, he is never in place, and no one knows where he is at the moment ... Salvation is the same - an intelligent deputy, capable, in the absence of a boss, to lead and make decisions !

Hard worker. A person lives by work and at work ... I am sincerely surprised and indignant that others, in addition to work, have some other interests! Requires full dedication from employees, no matter what, constantly spurs on and is never satisfied with your work: from his point of view, you are “underworking”! Work under the supervision of such a boss quickly turns into real hard labor ...

Summarizing all of the above, I would like to say: there simply cannot be enough universal recipes for competently building relationships with the boss, because each boss is a person with character traits inherent only to her, and in order to achieve success, you need to take this into account and act individually! I can only make a few general points:

1) Do not try to deliberately avoid communication with your superiors, no matter how unpleasant it may be for you, always go with a report or papers for signature and do not shift the solution of your problems to “third parties”: the authorities may get the wrong impression that, since you you deliberately avoid it, it means you are "up to something" or you simply ignore it!

2) It is just as dangerous to unnecessarily “irritate the eyes” of the authorities, constantly loading them with their ideas, proposals and problems on their own initiative: upstarts, as a rule, are not liked ...

3) Never argue with the boss “with foam at the mouth”: calmly state your point of view and leave: give the person time to think, it is possible that after a while he himself will “receive” your information, even if he does not openly admit that you are right!

4) Do not gossip at work, do not categorically condemn the work of colleagues or (God forbid!) superiors - and the walls have ears, sooner or later what you said will reach the boss and it is unlikely to be to your benefit!

5) Do not join various "groups" - it always does not look too good, besides, today you are "friends against someone", and tomorrow, perhaps, "friends" will already be against you ...

6) Do not unconditionally refuse overtime work if it is caused by production necessity! However, there should be a measure here too: be able to reasonably refuse, because “whoever is lucky is loaded on that”!

7) At work, as well as outside it, maintain self-respect: try to stay calm, friendly and never stoop to rude flattery ...

Our career, alas! - largely depends on how you work with your immediate supervisor ... Practice shows that without experiencing particularly tender feelings for each other, you can coexist quite peacefully and comfortably for many years! Be wise: observe, analyze and act according to circumstances. Ideally, I wish everyone to find a kindred spirit in the boss, then all problems will be solved by themselves and you will go to work with pleasure!
