Now that all the spare parts are there, it remains only to kill those two opponents and the flamethrower can be assembled.

There are many different weapons to be found hidden throughout Union City, and you'd better look for them if you want to be fully prepared for major encounters. Structure open world in the game is such that weapons, ammunition and equipment are plentiful here, but for the most part it lies outside the main path of our hero. With a linear passage of many chapters, you can find only basic guns and equipment, but it’s worth deviating a little, spending a couple of hours exploring locations, and now the inventory will please the eye of even an inveterate player. This guide will shorten your search time and tell you where to find all the weapons.

Where to find all weapons in The Evil Within 2

Melee: knives, brass knuckles and axes

  • Knife: He himself will be in your shoulder in the course of the second chapter. Used for close combat, crate smashing, and stealth kills.
  • Knuckles (Brass Knuckles): Allows for very brutal attacks, but cannot be used with an axe. You will receive brass knuckles if you beat the game on Nightmare difficulty.
  • Ax (Hand Axes): This is a one-shot weapon that does a lot of damage but breaks immediately. Axes can be taken from enemies and found in the city, they are scattered everywhere quite generously. Don't underestimate their power, especially in the early game when you need to conserve ammo.

Pistols, revolvers and magnums

  • Semi-automatic pistol (Semi Automatic Handgun): You automatically receive it during the second chapter when you leave the house. This will be your main trunk for the first chapters, the main thing is to aim for the head!
  • Laser-sighted Handgun: You will find it in the parking lot in front of the auto repair shop in the Residential Area. The gun is picked up from a corpse, just look for a car with headlights on. He's good at medium distance, the laser pointer helps you shoot more accurately, and the scope is better than a conventional pistol.
  • Silent Handgun: Doesn't deal much damage, but with it you can lure the enemy where you want with just one silent shot. Convenient for collecting enemies in one pile. To get this pistol, complete the "Getting Back Online" side mission, which you can find in the Business District. After that, in the shelter of Sykes (Syke's Safe House) you can pick up weapons from the orange box.
  • Automatic Pistol (Burst Handgun): This pistol fires in bursts, so aim as accurately as possible. This barrel was only available as a pre-order bonus in The Last Chance Bundle.
  • Revolver: This bad boy has good damage, but the rate of fire is slower than that of a semi-automatic pistol. You must complete three Anima flashbacks: first at 336 Cider Avenue, then at the Juke Diner, and finally at The Marrow: Restricted Labs.
  • Magnum: The most powerful firearm in the game. To get it, you need to beat the game on any difficulty level.

Shotguns, sawed-off shotguns and double-barreled shotguns

  • Sawed-off Shotgun: Great for close encounters with enemies, where it can hook a couple of opponents at once. It can be found in several locations - outside of 345 Cedar Avenue on the way to The Pit Stop next to a car with headlights on (only on the lowest difficulty); at Tredwell Trucking, The Marrow: Armory, and The Marrow: Facilities.
  • Shotgun: This weapon has a greater range than a sawed-off shotgun. You can find him south of Post Plus in the Business District.
  • Double-Barreled Shotgun: Shoots two rounds at once, which translates into good damage, but quickly squanders ammo. To get the double-barreled shotgun, you first need to complete the side mission "The Last Step" for Julian Sykes. The barrel itself can be found in The Marrow: Experimental Wing.

Snipers, rifles and flamethrower

  • Sniper Rifle: An ideal weapon for taking down enemy heads and clearing places from a safe distance. We recommend getting it as soon as possible in the third chapter. One way or another, the sniper rifle can be found in chapters 11-13 in the "Business District" on the roof of John's Coffee. If you missed this moment, then the next opportunity will not present itself until the 15th chapter, but then this trunk may lose all its relevance.
  • Assault Rifle: This rapid-fire rifle becomes available towards the end of the game in Chapter 13 in the "Network: Structures" location. This barrel makes for a very pleasant shooting experience, but it also burns ammo quickly.
  • Flamethrower: Another weapon that can only be obtained towards the end of the game in Chapter 11. The flamethrower in Evil Within 2 is a lot of fun and deals a lot of damage, but it severely limits our movement speed. After you defeat the Harbinger in Chapter 11, you can get this weapon in The Marrow: Restricted Area. The flamethrower will be broken initially, so you'll have to kill a couple more Harbingers in the Business District to get spare fuel tanks.

Thrown weapons

  • Crossbow "Guard" (Warden Crossbow): This weapon can be obtained already in the third chapter. The special properties of crossbow bolts make these weapons best left on bosses.

  • Crossbow in The Evil Within 2: where to find, how to craft bolts and what types of bolts are

You can wield not only ordinary firearms. You will also have a deadly crossbow at your disposal.

The Warden Crossbow is a unique weapon that fires different types of bolts (special ammo) to suit different playstyles. You can set up a trap with electric bolts, move silently with freeze and harpoon bolts, or create a hell of a mess with explosives. You decide.

Walking around Union and exploring the buildings, you'll find a few bolts, but if you want to use the crossbow regularly, you'll have to craft ammo with your own handles. Just don't forget to pick up any debris: fuse, black powder, nails, metal pipes, capacitors and, of course, ordinary gunpowder.

AT passing the There will come a point in Evil Within 2 when you can't go any further without a crossbow, and it's better to get it sooner rather than later. A great opportunity will present itself in the third chapter, at the same time, when you get the task to find a broken sniper rifle, as well as several other weapons. Always remember the location of shelters where you can rest and heal.

Where to find the Guardian crossbow

Get out the communicator and take a look at the map, on which O "Neil (O" Neil) marked the location of the Möbius collaborator. You won't have to go far, but be quiet and careful not to run into enemies. When you get to the APC, grab the Guardian Crossbow. After the cut-scene, you will have a great opportunity to try out the electric bolts. And do not forget to pick up the harpoons there.

Why do we need different types of bolts, and what to craft them from

The Guardian Crossbow is one of the main weapons in The Evil Within 2. It is needed to take out multiple enemies and create traps. Get used to it, you will need it.

Electric bolts (Shock). An electric shock will jump from one enemy to another, knocking them down. After that, you should hurry up and finish them off. Keep in mind that stronger opponents won't fall, but will still take damage. Electric bolts can also be fired at fuse boxes to open locked electronic doors, or at puddles to kill multiple enemies at once. You will find the first electric bolts along with the crossbow itself.

Created from fuse and gunpowder.

Smoke. Their main task is to create a veil that will allow you to hide from the eyes of the enemy. These bolts are very useful when you need to get past a lot of enemies and there is not much cover nearby. After upgrading at the workbench, they can even kill. The first ones you will find in the Northern shelter in a residential area.

Created from black powder and ordinary gunpowder.

Explosive. It is not difficult to guess that with the help of them you can make a lot of noise, tearing enemies to pieces. They are useful against large opponents, as they do their best to avoid explosions. In addition to flying nails, the surroundings can catch fire, but be careful not to fry yourself. You'll find a few in a residential area at Union Auto Repair.

Crafted from gunpowder and nails.

Harpoon. Silent bolts are great for stealth attacks and limb ripping. Save them for when it's best to go stealth. A few lie in the Northern Refuge, as well as near the location of the crossbow itself.

Made from metal pipes.

Freezing (Freeze). Probably the least useful bolts of all. With the help of them, you can freeze the enemy and destroy them, or slow them down for a short time. You will find them in the Union Reserve in the Torres hideout.

Crafted from gunpowder and capacitors.

Don't feel like waiting for the later chapters to fire one of the most powerful weapons in the game? No problem - the guide will help you become the owner of a sniper rifle almost at the very beginning of the passage.

The Sniper Rifle is by far one of the best "trunks" in The Evil Within 2. It's great at taking out the heads of enemies at long range and makes it easy to "clear" even the most difficult areas of locations.

Many believe that this powerful weapon can only be obtained starting from Chapter 11. The rifle lies in plain sight and is a kind of reward for diligence. At this point, many people think: “How I missed her before!”

In fact, the "sniper" can really be obtained much earlier, namely at the very beginning of Chapter 3. In general, it was the third chapter that turned out to be even too rich in excellent weapons, because in addition to a sniper rifle, you can find a crossbow, a shotgun and a pistol with a laser sight in it.

However, it's too early to rejoice - the initially found weapon is in an extremely deplorable state, and it must be repaired before use. How to do this will be described later, but first about the location of the broken rifle.

Where to find the sniper rifle in chapter 3

At the very beginning of Chapter 3, do not rush to go further, leaving the shelter. Exit and find the lane between the Visitor Center and the Jason Franklin Restaurant. There will be such an inconspicuous house. Its exact location is shown in the screenshot.

You need to climb the stairs, which is accessible from the outside of the room. There will be one enemy on the roof that can be killed by stealth if you get close enough, but it's okay if you spend one bullet on a headshot. She's worth it!

After killing an enemy, you can pick up a broken sniper rifle. There, on the roof, there will be ammunition. You cannot shoot from it, but in the inventory it is displayed as one of the key items.

Half done! Now you need to find spare parts to repair the weapon. They are with the deceased Mobius operative, who is located in the same location nearby. Finding it is easy because it is marked on the map with a special icon.

How to repair a sniper rifle

Having a broken rifle and spare parts for it, you need to make repairs. This is best done at the nearest auto repair shop (Union Auto Repair). Like the dead operative, she's marked on the map, so it's easy to find.

There will be two enemies at once in the auto repair shop, so take your time and proceed carefully. After dealing with the enemies, take Sebastian to the workbench and repair the rifle using spare parts through the crafting menu.

After that, the weapon will become combat-ready and will appear in the arsenal of the protagonist. Moreover, you will even have ammo to try out the novelty. Just don't get carried away, because ammo for a sniper rifle is not so common!

At correct use this weapon will allow you to penetrate many previously inaccessible areas of the city of Union. Therefore, it is a good idea to go back and run through the places that are guarded by stronger opponents. Many of them can be shot from a safe distance. With proper accuracy, you can get by with one or two shots to "lay down" almost anyone. The main thing is to shoot accurately and not waste ammunition in vain.
