A 60% limit applies to those employed who went on sick leave with an experience of up to 5 years.

It turns out that the legislator has clearly fixed which periods should be included in the length of service for sick leave. This is first of all:

  • work activity of an employee under an employment contract
  • the period of registration at the labor exchange and receiving unemployment benefits

Labor activity under the contract and the period of official unemployment are the main periods that increase the calculation of the insurance period for sick leave, but not everyone knows that time should also be included in it:

  • military service or alternative service
  • public works by law
  • caring for a child under 1.5 years old and a disabled / elderly
