Modern smartphone models have enough built-in memory to brighten up long and tiring trips in transport or waiting while listening to your favorite music through headphones. Although earphones are usually sold with mobile devices, we do not recommend using them for frequent listening to music.
The fact is that they never sell good headphones complete with mobile phones, since this is not profitable for the manufacturer, but they can cause hearing loss and even loss. Therefore, you should listen to music only through high-quality and safe headphones, and even then at a normal volume and taking a break every 10-15 minutes. In order to maintain health and enjoy high-quality and rich sound without a serious loss of frequencies, you need to purchase headphones for your mobile phone separately, and when choosing them, you need to pay attention to the following:
1. Earpiece type. According to the type of design, headphones are divided into overhead and in-ear. On-ear headphones have a speaker located outside the auricle, and they completely cover the ear. In-ear headphones are placed directly in the auditory canal, and therefore they are often called "plugs" or "earbuds". Provide the best sound quality on-ear headphones closed type, but they are massive and will look silly against the background of a small cell phone. Therefore, for smartphones and mobile phones, it is best to choose in-ear headphones which take up little space and are easy to carry.
2. Sound transmission method. All commercially available headphones can be divided into two groups according to the method of sound transmission: wired and wireless. Wired headphones are the most popular and practical, they are connected to a mobile phone with a wire and a 3.5 mm jack. Wireless headphones are basically a Bluetooth headset that connects to your phone via a wireless connection. Bluetooth headphones are extremely convenient for use in public transport and driving a car, you can always be in touch with them, even if your hands are busy. However, the sound quality of Bluetooth headphones is much inferior to wired ones, in addition, they quickly drain the battery and are much more expensive than wired headphones. 3. Main characteristics. When choosing headphones for your phone, be sure to pay attention to the following: operating frequency range, sensitivity, impedance, power, length and type of wire. The operating frequency range characterizes the sound quality. Most high-quality sound in professional headphones used in recording studios. They pick up sounds in the range of 5-60000Hz. All amateur headphones sold in stores have a frequency range of 18-21000Hz. This is quite enough, you should not look for headphones for your phone with a wider frequency range. After all, the human ear can detect sound frequency only in the range of 20-20000 Hz, so headphones with a frequency range above these limits are simply not needed.
Sensitivity is the highest volume headphone with a signal applied to it 30-130dB. The more sensitivity headphones, the better it will transmit sounds at a standard signal level, which is equal to the power of an electrical signal of 1 mW. If you plan to listen to music with headphones on the subway or while traveling in public transport, then the headphone sensitivity threshold should be at least 100dB / 1mW. But you should also not choose headphones for a phone with a sensitivity above 110dB, as extraneous sounds and hiss will be heard in it.
Impedance is nominal resistance by alternating current. Its value depends on what technique the headphones will work with. For mobile phones and smartphones, the limit values of this value are 16-40 ohms. This resistance is enough to provide high volume at a low input level of the original signal. The lower the impedance of the headphones, the louder you need to make the sound and the faster the battery of the phone will be discharged. Therefore, for smartphones, it is better to choose in-ear headphones with an impedance of 24-32 ohms, although dynamic "plugs" and "earbuds" with a resistance of 16 ohms are also able to please their owner with normal sound quality. 
Power is the indicator of the earphone, on which the sound volume depends. You should not buy in-ear headphones for your phone with a large one, so as not to harm your health and save your hearing. Doctors warn against listening to music with headphones inserted into ear, at maximum power, as this will inevitably lead to hearing loss over the years. And the headphone power can be from 1 to 4000 mW.
Another parameter that you need to pay attention to when choosing headphones for a mobile phone is the type and wire length. Often the wires from the earpiece to the phone are short, which is inconvenient. when listening music from a mobile phone in a bag or trouser pocket. Therefore, the length of the headphone wire must be chosen taking into account where you will carry the phone. Some headphones have one wire shorter than the other, making them handy for those who like to run them through the back. Headphones with a flat cord are much nicer to use as they don't twist or form knots, but headphones with a round wire need to be worn carefully or they will quickly turn into knots and need to be untwisted regularly.
4. Manufacturer. When choosing headphones, give preference to those models that were produced in companies that specialize in their production and are included in the top best. These are Beyerdynamic, Audio-Technica, AKG, Koss, Grado, Sennheiser, Etymotic and Ultimate Ears. Cheaper mobile phones are produced by Sony, Panasonic, Philips, A4Tech, Logitech, Genius and others.
